ULTIMATE CYCLING EXPERIENCE
Race organizers will only provide and be responsible for cyclists riding between the main lead car and SAG cars at the rear. Driving outside the permitted limits is prohibited. Participants who pass the main leading cars or lag behind the SAG cars at the back, the organizer will not responsible for them and will not be considered as insured race participants. No distractions and disturbances on the race route: it is forbidden!!! Cyclists are obliged to dispose of garbage in the for that provided bins on the race route. The organizers reserve the right to change or change cycling routes according to police instructions or because of weather conditions such as floods, fog, rain, strong winds, etc. The organizers have the right to check the bikes before the start of the competition. The organizers have the right to prevent the competitor from participating in the event, as well as to terminate his participation during the event without giving an explanation or reason. Notice before the race. Each participant must attend the pre-race briefing. The briefing will be held on April 26 at 09:45 at the start in front of the Falkensteiner Punat hotel.
Helmets and shoes are mandatory. All cyclists should be equipped with two filled drinking bottles and a set of basic tools. A driver who does not follow these rules will be immediately removed from the track. It is recommended wearing glasses to protect the eyes.
Each participant should have clothing suitable for the expected weather in the area. In case of rain, everyone participants should be equipped with clothing suitable for wet weather.
Participants should be able to perform basic repairs themselves. The technical support team will assist where possible.
Cyclists are required to stay on the official race route at all times. Shortening or deviating from the designated route of the bicycle race is prohibited.
Stay in the right lane close to the right shoulder. A driver who decides to stop on the track he must signal to the other drivers behind him and retreat safely outside the track, on the other side of the right margin. Obstruction on the track is prohibited and dangerous. Cyclists are obliged to dispose of garbage in the designated bins on the race route.
A driver who decides to leave the race must inform the organizers as soon as possible. Notification can be given to the police or judges along the entire race route or to the official vehicle behind all participants!
Most likely, some of the participants will not be able to successfully complete the given routes. If by any chance you happen to be one of them, please wait for the “broom” vehicle directly on the route. Participants, as well as bicycles, will be returned to Punat in different vehicles.
The participants of the race will be accompanied by emergency vehicles and doctors during the entire route. First aid at the scene of the accident is the sole responsibility of the rescue organization and is free for all participants.
Photos on request will be available for download after the event for a fee, while official photos and video of the races will be published at the end of the final day on Krk Granfondo official website, Facebook page and Instagram profile.
A professional bicycle repairer will, on request, service bicycles for all competitors at the Krk Granfondo Falkensteiner Punat event, and guarantees that all bikes will be in perfect condition at all times. Bicycle service during the event is free, but the used material is charged.
